Teacher Aide – Support for Hearing-Impaired Student
Fixed Term Position – Commencing 28 January 2026

Kaitāia College is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and reliable Teacher Aide to provide learning support for a hearing-impaired student. This fixed-term position will begin on 28 January 2026 and continue for the duration of the 2026 school year, subject to ongoing funding and student needs.

The successful applicant will:

• Support the learning, communication, and inclusion of a hearing-impaired student in classroom and school activities.
• Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, the Learning Support team, and external specialists.
• Demonstrate patience, empathy, and an understanding of diverse learning needs.
• Possess strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.
• (Preferred) Have experience or training in supporting students with hearing impairments or special education needs.

Hours: Mon - Fri 8.30am - 3.30pm
