Our Inter-Whanau Athletics Day is held annually at the beginning of the year, usually early March.

There is no academic instruction on this day and all students are expected to attend school and support their fellow Whanau Group members on the fields. Parents and caregivers are most welcome to also come along and support their tamariki. Students wear house colours on this day.

Preliminaries are held in the weeks prior to Athletics Day for the javlin and high jump, and also the 1500m and 3000m.

The annual march past begins the day, where the brightest and loudest house wins points and the title of March passed winner for the year.

Once our Champions have been decided, students are selected to travel and represent the Kura at the NSSSA Athletics (Northland Secondary Schools Sports Assn) events later in the month.

The 2020 Athletics Day was held on Friday, 28th February.
