Badminton

On Wednesday, August 14th, four of our girls Brydie, Dannii, Sydnee and Jamie-Lee went down to the NSSSA Team Badminton tournament in Whangarei. In total the girls played four teams; Northland College, Kerikeri A, Kerikeri B and Otamatea College.

Each of the games consisted of four singles matches and two doubles matches, so in total 24 games. The games were tough and competitive. However, Kaitaia College managed to beat each of the teams and make their way to the final against Kerikeri A team. 

The final match was very even and each of the players had a lot of pressure on them. The game scores for the final were: one loss, two draws, and three wins. Kaitaia won best out of six games, winning the final.

This is the third consecutive year Kaitaia College Girls’ have won this team tournament and next year they hope to carry on the winning streak.
